Dear EMJ Families,
Welcome to the 2025–26 school year at Ethel M Johnson! Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we’re so excited to have you as part of our growing school community.
This year, we’re especially thrilled to welcome students and families from Belmont. Your arrival brings fresh energy and new connections, and we look forward to building a strong, inclusive community together. At EMJ, we believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. By harnessing the power of relationships, we aim to collaborate closely with families to support every student’s success. Together, we will continue to strengthen our safe, inclusive, and joyful environment—where curiosity is encouraged and every voice matters.
One of the most important factors in student success is regular attendance. When students are present and engaged each day, they build stronger relationships, deepen their learning, and develop the skills they need to thrive. We encourage all families to prioritize consistent attendance—it truly makes a difference!
Throughout the year, we’ll continue to focus on:
- 📚 Deepening student learning through engaging and challenging experiences
- 🤝 Building community and fostering a sense of belonging
- 🛠️ Strengthening essential skills for success in and beyond the classroom
- 👨👩👧👦 Partnering with families to support every child’s journey
This year, we are delighted to welcome several new teachers to our team. Each of these educators brings passion, expertise, and a deep commitment to student success. We know they’ll make a wonderful impact in our classrooms and beyond:
- Maddy Curtis
- Bronwyn Helfrich
- Julie Lowry
- Alex Michael
- Steve Reinhardt
- Kayla Stitt
- Ethan Topolnisky
We are delighted to officially welcome back team members who are rejoining EMJ—whether returning from leave or joining us on contract for the 2025–26 school year. Their presence enriches our school community:
- Linda Halls, Lunchroom Supervisor
- Reagan Johnston, Teacher
- McKenzie Olson, Teacher
- Nina Peterson, Education Assistant
- Lisa Wilkinson, Teacher
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are truly looking forward to a fantastic year ahead—filled with learning, laughter, and connection.
Warmly,
Melanie Clark, Principal
Susan Elies-Guss, Assistant Principal
