We had a sea of orange shirts on September 26 to spread awareness regarding the experiences of children in residential schools and to honour the survivors. Many students had an opportunity to reflect and build their understanding through sharing circles. Thank you to all of those who participated by wearing an orange shirt to school. Please consider The Orange Shirt Day event on September 30 through a partnership with the City of Calgary, CBE, Calgary Catholic School Division, Calgary Police and Calgary Fire Department. For more details please visit Orange Shirt Day event .
It was a bit rainy, but we were able to all put on our running shoes in support of cancer research. Our Terry Fox run was a great hit with lots of smiling faces, red cheeks and sharing memories of loved ones who have had a cancer diagnosis. We were able to raise some funds that will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Foundation. If you would still like to contribute, please send a donation with your child on Tuesday.
