This week we were fortunate to have in the Alberta Health Services team to do dental screenings on students as a follow up from their previous visit. There will be another visit next year for students in kindergarten, grade one and grade two for families who opt in to the program.

We had some ducks who hatched in grade 2 and 3 this week! They came to the school on Monday and started hatching right away. The students have had an opportunity to hold them and learn about the initial growth of the ducks. There were many names suggested by the students and they settled on Nugget, Daffy, Mango, and Golden Eye just to name a few. We will have them for one more week and hope to have a "duck walk" by the end of the week so all students can see them before they go and find their new home in nature.

We are so excited to welcome back Hal Eagletail to our school on Wednesday. He will be guiding our students in some learning on land and sharing stories and lessons from his Indigenous background.

Next week our Kindergarten and Room 5 students will take a trip to the zoo to see the animals and their habitats. It should be a fantastic day for all students. Please remember that it will be a full day of Kindergarten instead of the half day.

Our School Council will be hosting a snack day on Friday June 13 where every student in the school will get a free cookie for a snack. If you a have not returned the form, please be sure to get it in as soon as possible so we can get in the order. Thank you to School Council for this treat!
