The weather did not let us down this week! It was beautiful out and provided many opportunities to learn outside on the land. Our grade 2/3 and 5/6 classes went on community walks and saw many animals, trees and flowers. We look forward to continuing this through June as we expect more fantastic weather.
Our staff did a secret spirit week this week to the surprise of students. Each day they had to guess what they thought the theme of the day was. Teachers wore ponytails, all black outfits, brought water in anything but a water bottle, wore sports jerseys and ended the week in EMJ clothing and sock with sandals. The kids had a great time guessing each day. We will be having spirit days with the students every Friday until the end of the week. June 6 will be "crazy hair day". We look forward to seeing everyone's creativity.
Next week our grade six students will be doing a tour of Harold Panabaker School. The students will be organized in groups with students from other schools to explore the options and meet some of the students.
We will also be having the second visit for the Dental Screening. If you signed the consent forms, they will be seen by the team from Alberta Health Services.
On Friday of next week we will be having a school wide snack which is organized and funded by our School Council. Forms were sent home last week for you to pick your choice of cookie. Thank you to our generous School Council for this treat.
